"Carolyn created an experience that illustrated the meaning and purpose of Soul Collage and the use of the cards to know ourselves more deeply. She created a safe circle, shared her experience, guided us through the process of card making, and allowed us space to notice meaning our cards." - Jill (participant)
SoulCollage® is a process for creating incredible collaged cards with deep personal meaning that will help you with life's questions and transitions. We will meet at The Storymaker House, my Airbnb and studio where you will learn how to make your own SoulCollage® cards.
This process which begins as simple creative fun, might suddenly surprise and awaken you! This is a multi-layered creative activity which anyone can do. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Someone once said "the only constant in life is change." We see it all around us in the seasons and cycles of life. But we very rarely give ourselves the space and opportunity to honor the changes in our lives. Ceremony allows you to acknowledge transition, growth, and change in your life. In this Experience you will learn the elements of ceremony and how to honor and commemorate your story, wherever life finds you in this moment (i.e. a transition, new beginning, ending a job or relationship, etc). We will meet in Nehalem on the Oregon Coast. From there you can follow me on a 10-min drive into a magical privately owned coastal temperate rainforest. You will learn about the elements that make up a ceremony. These include setting an intention for your ceremony, choosing symbols, place, and other elements. I will help you determine the best elements to use in creating your own ceremony based on your story and the intention that you set. From there, I will give you a tour of the forest and show you some beautiful magical, and mythical places where you can create your own ceremony.
"I did this tour with my 7 year old nature loving daughter and WE BOTH LOVED IT! Both hosts were wonderful. The combination of nature, storytelling, crafts and sharing made it a memorable experience we both would attend again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend to travelers of all ages." - Sarah and Wren
You can't visit Oregon without experiencing the beautiful temperate rainforests on the Oregon Coast. This experience takes place in Nehalem. A short hike will take us along Coal Creek and into a temperate rainforest. Along the way, you will learn about the native plants of the rainforest and their medicinal qualities as well as the animals who live here. We will settle into a Creekside yurt, where Mythologist and Storyteller, Gwendolyn Endicott, will treat you to a story about this particular rainforest.
After the story, you can explore the forest on your own for a first-hand experience of its magical gifts! The experience ends by creating a "prayer arrow" (using some materials collected from the forest), and the opportunity to share your experience with others.
